1. Introduction
Please read this policy before using our site, services, products. Ago Vires (“Company“, “we“, “us“) are committed to caring for, protecting and respecting your privacy and keeping your personal data secure. The main goal of this Privacy Policy is to let you know we care about your data and we are not unlawfully using or collecting your personal data.
2. Who we are
We are an Australian energy & construction company, called Ago Vires, based in Australia.
- Our main website is located: https://agovires.com.au
- Our primary email is: admin@agovires.com.au
3. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments and profile images
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Contact forms
Certain areas of the site use contact forms in order to generate an email message directed to us (and only us).
Contact forms capture personal data such as your name and email address, necessary to generate such email and allow for a smooth communication. Thankfully, that’s all we need and no unnecessary additional data is required from you. We do not store any of this information in our databases. It is only used to send the email and afterwards it is forgotten.
Of course, and clearly, we do not use the information for marketing purposes.
Newsletter forms
Our website contains a few forms to subscribe to our newsletter. The data you enter in those forms is not stored on our systems, but is only used by our third party newsletter software MailChimp.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
When you use our site, our tracking service providers such as Google Analytics and Shareoholic Analytics collect information using various technologies, including cookies and pixel tags (which are also called clear GIFs, web beacons, or pixels).
Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us improve our site and your experience, and track usage of our resources. These service providers may use cookies to collect and store information about your device, such as time of visit, pages visited, time spent on each page of the site, links clicked and conversion information, browser, mobile network information, and type of operating system used.
All analytics data is anonymized.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell our users’ private personal information. And we don’t give it away, either. We share information about you in the limited circumstances spelled out below and with appropriate safeguards on your privacy:
Newsletter signup: When you sign up to our newsletter through the website, your data is stored at MailChimp, a 3rd party software to help us send our newsletters. We don’t store that data on our systems.
Legal Requests: we may disclose information about you in response to a court order, or other governmental request.
Spam detection: we may send your anonymized data to an external spam detection service.
With Your Consent: we may share and disclose information with your consent or at your direction.
Aggregated or De-Identified Information: we may share information that has been aggregated or reasonably de-identified, so that the information could not reasonably be used to identify you. For instance, we may publish aggregate statistics about the use of our website.
5. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
6. What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Send us an email at admin@agovires.com.au if you have such a request. Your request will be completed within 30 days.
7. Privacy Policy changes
We may modify this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will provide notice to you by publishing the most current version and adding a date at the top of this page. By continuing to use the site after any changes come into effect, you agree to the revised Policy.
8. Contact information
